RE-Elect Anna Griese
Candidate for Saugus Union School District Trustee • Area 2
Better Decisions. Better Schools.
Listening. Following Through. Delivering Results.
As a parent, business leader, and current trustee, I believe every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, every educator deserves the support to thrive, and every voice in our community deserves to be heard.
Meet Anna
Anna Griese is a lifelong Santa Clarita resident, parent, business leader, and current Saugus Union School District Trustee representing Area 2.
A graduate of Mitchell Elementary, Sierra Vista Junior High, and Canyon High School, Anna has called Santa Clarita home for more than 35 years. She has built her career, raised her family, and is proud to give back to the community she has called home for more than three decades.
Anna brings more than 20 years of leadership experience managing teams, budgets, and strategic initiatives for nationally recognized companies. She brings that same practical, common-sense approach to public service.
As both a parent and trustee, Anna believes every decision should put students first, support teachers and staff, and reflect the values and priorities of the families she serves. She is committed to listening, asking the tough questions, and ensuring every voice is heard.
“I believe asking tough questions is one of the most important responsibilities of a trustee. It’s how we make better decisions, strengthen accountability, and deliver better outcomes for our students, teachers, staff, and families.”
– Anna Griese
A Strong Foundation
Serving as a Saugus Union School District Trustee has reinforced what I believed when I first ran for office: strong schools begin with strong leadership.
As both a parent and trustee, I understand firsthand how important our schools are to students, families, teachers, and staff. My experiences in both roles have reinforced the importance of listening, asking thoughtful questions, and ensuring district decisions reflect the values, priorities, and needs of the community we serve.
Over the past four years, I have worked to be an independent and accessible voice—listening to different perspectives, asking the tough questions, and advocating for transparency, accountability, student success, and common-sense solutions. I don’t believe in accepting the status quo when we have the opportunity to do better.
School board members are elected to provide oversight, set direction, and ensure district resources and initiatives are aligned with the needs of students and families. I believe effective governance requires collaboration, thoughtful decision-making, and a willingness to ask tough questions when necessary. Asking tough questions is one of the most important responsibilities of a trustee.
It’s how we make better decisions, strengthen accountability, and deliver better outcomes for our students, teachers, staff, and families.
As we begin this next chapter for Saugus Union School District, I remain committed to listening, following through, and delivering results. I will continue working to create positive learning environments for students, support teachers and staff, strengthen communication with our community, and ensure every initiative is backed by clear goals, measurable results, and continuous improvement.
